Workshops

Re-work, re-cut and revamp your wardrobe in this one day session with Jessie Chorley. Saturday, 19th June.

Turn your old clothes into new clothes with some cunning cutting and stitching. No machining skills necessary. You will be taught by local textile artist and embroiderer, Jessie Chorley, to stitch, appliqué, re-cut, and re-work the clothes you or your children don’t wear. Things which are great to work on are tweed jackets, cardigans, dresses, all children’s clothes. A plain pair of evening shoes can have a whole new life with a simple stitched on vintage scrap fabric bow. We will provide some materials and some items of clothing but please bring fabric scraps, buttons, zips, net, old costume jewellery and whatever else you can find. Lace is great to cut up and add to a collar or for the middle of a bow and don't forget your nice but unworn clothing.

£55.00. 10.00am to 4.00pm. Please book a place on the workshop by contacting the school of stuff www.theschoolofstuff.co.uk
